Pieces

Pieces was made in 2010, when I was an art and design student at Croydon College. It was made traditionally with paper and photos and scanned onto a Windows editing software (which I think no longer exists now). I was never taught how to animate during college as it wasn’t part of our modules and tutorials weren’t very common back then, so it was quite a big project to take on; however, I felt compelled to do it. I identified as a comic artist around this time, so it was a surprising turn to take even for me, but it shaped and helped me become the multidisciplinary artist I am today. There is a long gap between this and my more recent films because I was illustrating and making comics during that time.
